Prevent Slayer Purchases

I have seen some posts about not allowing slayers to purchase SOME of the vamps items. I also saw deivo post about not allowing slayers to buy vamp items at all!

There is not only 1 problem with slayers buying vamps' items. There is a HUGE problem with this that I believe is overlooked. That is that slayers buying vamps items can prevent the vamp from ever purchasing those items.

Kitty Klaw currently does not have an instant cooldown. Because of this, slayers can purchase kitty klaws when they are available and prevent the vamps from EVER getting them. This is a huge problem for late games. I'm sure there are other items like this that are problematic by this is the one I noticed.

I agree with deivo when he says that slayers should have their own equivalent for items that they typically use: Shield, conc, klaws, cloak, etc. Also, the slayers should NOT be allowed to purchase ANY items that are purchased at the vamp stores.

Item hoarding is a strategy for humans that don't want the game to end fast.. If humans can keep buying a bunch of kitty claws for 7500g and other expensive stuff I don't think the vamp would be in the best shape to win the game. I can't really think of a sensible fix to address your concerns of humans preventing vamps from getting these high level items but I agree to some extent that slayer purchases should be limited.

Let them buy it if they want to. It's a proof that humans are lousy.

Now, if we can get SaMmM to agree to this, we still should add a couple very important items to the Vault of Lights:

Cloak, Shield, Urn, Conc

any others?

Aren't cloak and shield already in? And I don't think slayers need urn nor conco. Besides it's urn of dracula and vampiric concoction, so I guess these items belongs to vamps.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think that a +armor or a perm-invis item are available in the vault of lights.

And like all other items that were given to the Vault of Lights, the urn and conc variations would have similar effects but different names and graphics.

Urn is a very nice item to have when you want to monitor missile usage. Because 2 humans with base of ops already have the ability to have the map revealed permanently, I don't think this will be imbalanced if a large gold cost is given. I'd suggest a name like "Ring of Sight."

Conc is needed for possibly countering stun lock and shielding structures when the only available spot is near a vamp. Does not seem unbalanced. Could even increase cooldown time of it if need be. I'd suggest a name like "Necklace of Divinity."

Cloak and a buff immunity shield can be purchased from the vault of lights as of 2.45 (cloak's always been in there)

I've said it in another thread and I'll say it again: I think being able to purchase the vamp's items is part of the strategy involved. Buffing up slayers to stand in for walls that go down, disrupting missile purchase etc.

well, should have vault of lights and vault of lights 2, where you can buy exactly like vamps can buy, but a little lousier
