Since version 2.45 all vampires have a income of 1 gold every 2.4 seconds.
The income starts after 55seconds of the game time, just when the vampire spawns.

Just look at the dates, pretty old actually.

But regarding how to prevent assassins, build wall of seeing around your base and if you can't build comet yet, just deto all workers.

Or you can anti assassins with 1 layer of slayer tarvens and another layer of tents.

And also you can spam Slayer Vault if you already run out for slayer taverns, it costs additional 1 gold though.

Those are enough for just specific bases. Other bases require more than the such because they have limits.

rinx.... ur wall formation..e rm how to put this....(and whyd you build so many houses??)ur wall formation when the assassin enters the amethyst wall part he can just blink in at that edge examine ur pic CAREFULLY he'll kill BEFORE u build r comet

I don't know what the best strategy is to counter assasins early(I hereby acknowledge that my towers and seeing tower method may not be the best method)

However you have made some mistakes.4-5th min you aren't going to be able to build 4 layers of gold mines around your base in time,which includes the time spent cutting trees.

secondly,it is absolutely essential you get more than 3 walls.Let's use your v3x as an example. vamp will use v3x on your second wall.blink over your first wall and screw you up instantly.you need 4 walls,1 in front,2 behind the first and another last wall behind the 2 walls to be safe.

Actually, you can. 4 layers of gold mines isn't much.

And 3 walls is enough. If you have something behind the 3rd wall, and your third wall is upgraded. Even if he nukes your second wall, he won't be able to get in.

read my earlier post.4th -5th mins.you expect to 4 layer gold mine your entire base by then?If your base is huge and you still have to waste time chopping off trees.My point is why the hell is he assasin proofing the outer boundaries of his base which would take too much time and effort when he could have just assasin proof his worker by building ard those 2-3 lumber mills?


the "something" behind the 3rd wall should be strong.
if you are talking abt this formation

then as I said earlier,vamp could blow up the second with v3,blink in and kill the structure behind the two "x" with ease.The reason for having the 4th wall there.

there are more efficient ways of killing humans than this,but I was only using his v3x missile as an example

so, it takes tonnes of effort and time to assasin proof ur base, as u need 3 wall thickness around your entire base, or waste gold on an early comet, or wait till u can normally afford a comet(with gm's). seems like assasin is pretty op early game...

While waiting to be able to buy gold, why not anti-sin proof your harvesters with slayer taverns and tents? Its not like you have anything better to do.

I find the nuke guide useless... and building early-game comet is useless too...
whereas when I play a game my enemies tend to build comet towers (about 1 - 2 comets) yet I still kill their harvesters... How? Upgrade life of the life of assassin = anti comet tower already, tried it in some games. But I only assure you this only works on EARLY GAME... But the covering of spaces is better, many people in here tend to use that but instead of gold mines they use tents and slayer taverns... which I find difficult to do. =.=

Counter to these: lure the towers to attack main vamp and send in assassin.

And no one can build oracles before 3 minute mark, but vamp can buy assassin before 3 minute mark, the fact I myself frustrates me.

eh ...so 2 comets to be built near lumberers and 1 comet near wall?I watched the vps replay on the forums and did the blinkproofing trick once.But I played against this pro vamp who used binladen(1000 range) to destroy my tents(tavern damaged too) and blink inwith assasin.And fed him with 4th tier workers-_-.Blink proofing isn't fool-proof.what would you guys do if the assasin comes early?

let me tell you
pro reflexes make assasins unkillable by comets
comets' attacks are dodgeable with blink..
not to mention vamp can upgrade minions' hp in research center

so yeah, I would say 1 comet and 1 oracle against a pro vamp.
