If a new forum was to be set up... who do you wanna see as the moderators.

2. Greg

6. None of the above, there will be no moderators.

I was on the verge of demoting greg.
He fucked up the forums big time, by moving all sorts of relevant topics to the graveyard section, wasted 40+mins of my time to fixed it back.
I had no forum backup =S.
However, i finally could access my forum backup using google chrome! OMG! So, nobody can fuckk it up again lol.



If a new forum was to be set up... what type of forum do you want it to be?
Don't tell me vbulletin, unless you got the money to pay for it.

Forum: I am most comfortable with phpBB so I can recommend it to you, but SMF looks interesting

I'm not here long enough to vote for anybody for moderator, but I sure as heck have gotten a good impression of Clue, and unless he fixes his attitude, I don't think he should mod any kind of forum. Greg spams a lot of posts, but seems alright otherwise.

Before VB, another forum i used to mod also had phpBB and it was OK for what we needed. So there.

Added rqx to the list, i looked through all his posts, all seems good and sensible.

Why? It is true that Greg does spam a lot, but other than that, he is one of the original mods on the old forums, the chief for CORE (u.s west), and because i can vote.

What about night? Even though his away, i reckon he should be added, if he does he gets my first vote. But, i doubt he would waste his bnet time for forums or would he o.O, i wouldn't unless we had +500 members.

p.s If your reading water, send me the map sometime, i have lots of updates i need to do. (upload it to mediafire, see my other post why)

It's flattering but I dont think it's a good idea. A lot of people are already waiting to become your moderator. I don't think I have the time/patience to help you moderate effectively

My plans:

Get a free webhost.
Host SMF or phpbb3 or mybb on the free webhost.
Put one non-annoying google advertisement on the forum.
If the advertisement generates more than usa $4 per month, i will then use a paid webhost to host the forum.

You're one of the persons who said that you're just expressing your thoughts. Is it wrong for me to have things in my thoughts? Its not like i cared to ban you or put some trash other having a debate through thoughts. If having a debate between ideas are wrong, then I would suggest you to quit the forum since the forum often, and I mean very often, have debates of 2 or more having different suggestions.

I actually went through a bunch of your recent posts to find you accusing people of being "hackers, cheaters and losers", claiming to hack other people's modems, admitting you don't care to read posts beyond the fifth paragraph and last but not least demoting people's ranks for "being ego" with no proof to back it up. As a former mod of a forum that had more daily posts in my 2 cats than this forum has in a week, I can say I have a bit of an idea how mods are supposed to behave. I don't object to you having an opinion, that is totally fine and acceptable, and I actually enjoy healthy discussions as evidenced by the ongoing debate about item couriers that has actually spun into more of a general discussion whether to make the game easier for noobs. rqx and I are pretty much diametrically opposed on this idea, yet still we manage to keep it absolutely civilised. Something that one should expect of a mod, an example to other users. Which, frankly, I don't see you being. If users took example from you, I assume there would be a lot more flaming around, and discussions ended with "demoted". Small forum or not, I expect better from mods.

You would agree with me if you've seen April hosting cheated map just to play. Furthermore, her usage of maphack was confirmed through 2 items, replay and through the worm i planted at her modem.
